The Bayliau beat comprises a mile and a half of very varied fishing on the left bank of the River Teifi near Cellan. Some of the faster, streamy water is ideal trout habitat. Mature trees overhang the river in places, and on bright days trout sometimes rise freely there when the rest of the beat is inactive.
There are several deep pools that hold salmon and sea trout, particularly towards the back end of the season.
Beat 2a, the Bayliau fishery comprising some 700 yards of right-bank fishing on the Teifi a mile upstream of Pont Steffan Bridge, Lampeter, is one of Llandysul A A's rented fisheries.
This beat is accessed via a lane running north from the B4343 Cwmann to Llanfair Clydogau road. There is off-road parking on the wide verge; please do not block access to the lane.
Orange Llandysul A A end-of-beat signs mark the upper and lower limits of this fishery.
